Op 15 & 16 oktober 2021 vond de eerste editie van het Huiskamerfilmfestival plaats in Leeuwarden. Dat was, inderdaad, een festival waarbij films werden vertoond in huiskamers. Om precies te zijn: de allerbeste korte films uit Europa.

Het festival bestond uit verschillende filmprogramma’s, waarbij zo’n vijf tot acht korte films rondom een thema werden vertoond – van feminisme tot dieren en van LHBTQ+ tot porno. Naast vertoningen in de huiskamers, waren er ook vertoningen op een camping en een skatepark.

Tijdens de eerste editie wisten 250 bezoekers het festival te vinden.

De volgende editie is op 13, 14 & 15 oktober 2022 met meer dan 50 voorstellingen in de hele provincie Friesland. Deelnemers bestaan uit huiskamers, maar ook dorpshuizen, galerieën en andere bijzonder plekken. Dit jaar werd de programmering gedaan door 8 jonge programmeurs in het kader van Broei, dat jongeren een podium geeft.

Het Huiskamerfilmfestival is een project ontwikkeld door Natte Haring en wordt uitgevoerd door stichting CineNord.

The first edition of the Living Room Film Festival took place in Leeuwarden on 15 & 16 October 2021. That was, indeed, a festival where films were shown in living rooms. To be precise: the very best short films from Europe.

The festival consisted of several film programs, showing about five to eight short films around a theme – from feminism to animals and from LGBTQ+ to porn. In addition to screenings in the living rooms, there were also screenings at a campsite and a skate park.

During the first edition, 250 visitors found the festival.

The next edition is on October 13, 14 & 15, 2022 with more than 50 performances throughout the province of Friesland. Participants consist of living rooms, but also village houses, galleries and other special places. This year the programming was done by 8 young programmers in the context of Broei, which gives young people a stage.

The Living Room Film Festival is a project developed by Natte Haring and carried out by the CineNord foundation.
